I am always amazed at the cost of center parcs in school holidays. But my boys love it and we haven't been for a few years. Is it likely to get cheaper nearer October half term or more expensive?

It won't get cheaper. They dont drop prices.

What Black said. Occasionally I have looked for v last minute breaks and they are still eye wateringly expensive.

I have thought of booking for next summer at £990 which is. Ery reasonable for August. You can pay by installments and be fully paid up by 10wks before your holiday start date.
But i dont think i can afford it even though its cheaper than going abroad.

mummymeister · 05/09/2017 16:14

have you looked at the centreparcs abroad at all. people are always posting on here to say how much cheaper they are even if you factor in the travelling costs.

they wont get cheaper the nearer the holidays you get because they are a niche market.

Book it now or it will get booked up. The prices won't drop. The uk ones anyway. The ones in Europe often have discounts and don't seem to operate at full occupancy like the uk ones.

flumpybear · 05/09/2017 16:19

Book now so youll have a better choice of accommodation and location

I think they're pretty much always fully booked all year round - a friends ex husband works there and it's always really busy

Gretia · 05/09/2017 16:20

If you don't book it now it will be fully booked soon. The uk ones don't ever get cheaper in school holidays!

pinkchampagne1 · 07/09/2017 18:13

The prices will not go down, they will continue to rise.

The European Centre Parcs are definitely worth looking at for value for money. I have just checked the Oct half term prices and Elveden is coming up at £1349 for a midweek break for 4 people in a Woodland lodge. Erperheide (CP in Belgium) is working out just over £600 for the same 4 night stay that week in a premium lodge.

Memememeandyou · 11/09/2017 20:24

I'm always astounded that people pay 4999 to spend 4 nights in a center parcs treehouse.

Memememeandyou · 11/09/2017 20:24

And they get fully booked.

pinkchampagne1 · 12/09/2017 17:12

They are nearer 10k for a week at Christmas! Shock

Memememeandyou · 17/09/2017 15:04

That's crazy😵

Supply and demand - the less lodges the more it costs because they say on their website '2 lodges left' etc to push people into booking.

We looked last September and it was a good £300 cheaper then than it was when we booked in June for Bonfire weekend in Whinfell.

4-bed lodge with games room cost us £1399 but split 5 ways!
