Where in Cornwall for children?

Hi

I am looking at going to Cornwall next May for a week with my children. There will be 4 adults and 2 children (6 and 3). I have never been before and have no idea which areas to look at. Ideally I'd like somewhere close to amenities and things to do/places to visit. I would be happy to stay on a holiday park or in a cottage as long as there's plenty nearby.

Anyone know which areas would be best to stay in? Or have any recommendations?

Many thanks!

We love Crantock. It's near Newquay but beautiful

We love the south east coast around Looe. not as crowded as the north or too far down west, easy to drive around and visit everywhere and lots of lovely beaches. when we go to Cornwall we stay HERE because it has a swimming pool a play barn with stuff for older kids as well and it has farm animals.

It's closed but there is a lot around St Austell for people to do, on that coast, it's also near enough to the north coast Togo for the day too.

We always stay in a little cottage with a swimming pool shared between several cottages and it's lovely. Kids at tjat age just want a park, a beach and a pool in my experience :)

Hello, have a look at Par Sands Caravans and lodges on Michael Paul Holidays website. www.michaelpaulholidays.co.uk the park has a indoor pool and is situated right opposite the beach. Its 3 miles from the Eden Project near St Austell. You could also try the North of Cornwall at Pentire Haven.

St Ives is lovely with good beaches in town.
