Premier inn

I'm an adult with 3 children aged 19.17.12. Premier inn website states I have to book 2 rooms. Has anybody attempted to get anyone over 15 in as a child. My 19 has special needs so wouldn't go in a room alone so I class him as a second adult as 2+2. But premier inn don't allow 3 adults.

Phone them and explain the situation?

HelenRose1111 · 05/08/2017 20:49

Just book an accessible or twin/family room? And tell them 2 adults 2 children.
They don't check. At least I've definitely seen more than 4 adults share one room (not me) ! Usually they're staffed by one person and they won't even notice tbh
I booked a room last weekend for 2 adults but OH couldn't stay, no one said anything.

NapQueen · 05/08/2017 20:49

Just put your 17yo down as a 15yo.

Doilooklikeatourist · 05/08/2017 20:51

You need 2 rooms

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 21:27

I've booked it as 2adults 2 kids but didn't realise kids are classed at under 16

There will only be 2 beds too. (1 normal double, 1 double sofa bed.)

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/08/2017 21:45

A family room has one double and two singles. I am in one as we speak.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/08/2017 21:46

And no they won't take any notice of ages. Leave the kids hovering near the door with the luggage while you check in. You can do it online if you've booked it online, will save hanging around at check in.

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 22:01

If you check online u still have to to get yr room key right ?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/08/2017 22:05

Yes but they'll already have all your details and it doesn't take as long.

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 22:10

I've never used the online check in before I booked it as a saver that's why I can't change it

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/08/2017 22:12

Do you mean you've already booked the room and now can't change it?

Lunde · 05/08/2017 22:20

Ring the Premier Inn involved and explain that you need 2 connecting rooms owing to SN so they can note that when they allocate rooms

It is often easier to deal with them direct. We had a small problem with PI. Having e-mailed PI hq and establishing that they had a disability room with an accessible shower before we booked a disability room. However the message did not make it from hq to the actual location. So when we checked in they had not allocated it to us and instead put us in a disability room with a disability bath - unfortunately I have EDS and cannot haul myself out. Luckily they were able to move us to a room with a walk-in shower and seat. But the staff said to always clarify precis requirements before arrival.

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 22:27

Yes I've already booked it. It's kings cross and don't get there till 8 at night due to coming off eurostar

RitaConnors · 05/08/2017 22:28

i would absolutely check the 17 year old in as 15.

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 22:29

That's what I was thinking

OP posts:
Migraleve · 05/08/2017 22:31

I wouldn't because where on earth will they sleep? You won't get 4 beds in the room. Book another room and your 17 & 12 yo could share it?

FreakinDeacon · 05/08/2017 22:32

We've taken DD as a child up to age 18. Nobody takes any notice. Lots of them have automated check in and key collection.

RitaConnors · 05/08/2017 22:33

Family rooms at premier inns are a double bed and two single beds. So there will be enough room.

Migraleve · 05/08/2017 22:35

Not always. Often it's a double and one single. Depends on the hotel.

Amanda2709 · 05/08/2017 22:36

Yes they are a double and 2 single stayed in a premier in before when a bit younger always been a double and 2 single 17 & 12 are girls so don't mind sharing

I've just spent 3 nights in a family room with a double and two singles. You should be fine. I very much doubt they'll question you but either explaining the SN or saying the 17yo is 15 should both be ok. Enjoy!

Blackandpurple · 06/08/2017 19:45

For the past 7 yrs 4 of us girls visit a city for a weekend. I book a PI 2 adults 2 kids and check in. Never a problem.

Blackandpurple · 06/08/2017 19:49

And its always a double and two singles. I check in online and the girls go to the bar whilst i go check the room. Then toddle to the bar and give them the keys.

Im going with a gang of 22 in November and were all in a PI and we have family rooms booked.
