Any recommendations for posh self catering, coastal, 2 bed, 2 bath, overlooking the sea? Boutique not chintz.

I'm looking for somewhere for 2 adults, 2 children (who will be 10 and 4 then) to go during October half term, within about 3 hours drive of Oxford/Milton Keynes. Ideally we want:

Overlooking the sea/a beach/estuary
Boutique style, no chintz
must have 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin
must have 2 bathrooms or 2 loos at the very least

We're thinking of maybe Brighton or Norfolk coast or possibly Aldeburgh, but open to anywhere within a few hours really. And ideally I'd like somewhere that will provide a chef for at least 2 of the nights (but could live without that, obviously!)

Thanks for any suggestions.

yeah, WWW, we have all the grannies in East Devon, hence our stay in Torquay lol

Oh I haven't stayed in the Porthleven ones Wheely, we've stayed in The Engine House and The Boat House. I do think Niche are fab. But yes, we've decided it's too far too (we're an hour north of London), hence considering Brighton/other coast.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, actually, went on a granny-visiting trip and ended up doing lots of fun things I hadn't done since tiny (like Kent's Cavern, Babbacome Village, Paignton Zoo etc etc)

Will keep an eye on this thread too as love aldeburgh so if anyone finds something similar there we will definitely remember it for another time (thanks for solving all my holiday dilemmas )!

Oh yes, I remember Kents Cavern (it's very dark when they turn the lights out isn't it!) and Paignton Zoo. That house down there is nice too, Cockington Court I tihnk it's called.

sobernow I closed a site because they had an incorrect apostrophe in 'its' and another I decided not to read because it was all Times New Roman and I detest Times New Roman.

Thorpeness ?
Not sure whether it would qualify on the chintz requirement and you would probably have to eat out at the restaurant or in Aldeburgh.
