Cheaper version of Centreparcs anywhere with less facilities?

To be honest Centreparcs is above our budget, so just wondering if there's something similar to Centreparcs anywhere with less facilities. Would love a log cabin, but an apartment is fine, swimming pool and possibly use of a jacuzzi, steam room, restaurant/bar - we can live without activities if that means it's cheaper.

Can anyone recommend anywhere please?

The drive through llanberis valley is just stunning but you will have already done that.

We've done the blaenau Ffestiniog railway as well. Portmeiron...pricey for what it is.
Porthmadog harbour and station is lovely. It's a walk back in time.

Pwllheli ....disappointing.
Never got over to Anglesey :-(

White rose caravan park has some lovely holiday cottages. Two swimming pools on the site. Children's play area and just 10 mins from thirst and about 30 mins from York.

Forest holidays. The sherwood forest one was great. Also hoseasons, we've been to the cheddar Woods site and would recommend.

Look at Duinrell too in Holland. Center parcs type pool complex (you do have to pay extra for that if you stay with a uk operator but it's included if you go directly with Duinrell via the website) with kind of an Alton Towers on site (for free) but much much nicer than the equivalent in the UK. Lots of activities, accommodation was good (uk companies offer mobile homes, Duinrell have those plus wooden bungalow type things).

Try Bluestone in Pembrokshire. Gorgeous countryside, lovely cottages/lodges, activities for the little ones and a nice swimming pool. Also near some gorgeous beaches. And I say this as a huge Center Parcs fan.

Meant to add, also has a lovely spa.
