Anyone recommend something similar to Field Studies Council holidays?

For 10 days in the summer holidays I have DS2 (11yo) to myself as DH & DS1 are away with cadets.

I was hoping to do a FSC holiday with DS2, as they've been highly recommended. I'd like something where someone else has done the planning and I don't have to think about what I'm going to do to entertain him all day, but something cheaper than CenterParcs!

I like the look of the FSC holidays because they're full of good wholesome outdoor activites and a bit educational - DS2 genuinely enjoys that stuff (education!) whereas DS1 doesn't, so it seemed like an ideal opportunity, but the dates on offer by FSC don't work for us.

DS2 is going to find entertaining himself for nearly 2 weeks tough as (although they'd never admit it) the two boys are practically inseparable at home normally and don't really do anything separately - even Minecraft is a joint project!

Anyone got any ideas?

Do btcv or national trust do holidays for families?

PFL family adventures? I've not been on one myself though.

Have a google for Forest School Camps, they do outdoorsy, family holidays.

Thanks all, I thought NT was going to be it, but they're not doing family holidays the week we need.

I can't find anything for families on the FSC site, only unaccompanied children?

You need the YHA,

They do holidays for parents and kids, loads of activities and other parents around to chat to over a glass of wine in the evening.
