Centre parc in November?

We have never been to centre parc before. Only been to hotels so not sure what to expect. (Baby born in September so didn't do any summer holidays).

I have been reading the threads here so have learned we should be bring our bin liners, dishwasher liquid etc.

But do we really need to book for restaurants in mid November? How busy would it be?

only if you have to feed your children at a specific time like 6,00pm. for some reason cp is full of people who must feed their children on the dot of 6 pm. if you can be flexible you wont have an issue!

We never had an issue in March except once we had to come back half an hour later for the curry place

Depends which type of "hut" sorry lodge you are in too - we have been in an "executive" one - did not need bin liner or dishwasher stuff (was a tablet in the drawer for every day).

We went with DD one September when she was not quite 10 months and it was one of the most relaxing things we ever did (apart from 9/11 happening whilst we were there) - she loved the water... and the birdies.... and the ducks... and the squirrels and the rabbits and the deer, and all the staff cooing over her...

We have not got fixed mealtimes so did not book meals - but as previous poster has said, if your mealtimes are not flexible then you DO need to book in advance - especially for times between 5 and 7pm.

We have generally booked meals during the day or the day before rather than before we go. We aren't fussy when we eat but we need to know in advance (so we know whether to feed the baby before we go).

Thanks. We are in the new executive. It said we have maid service, and I want a relaxing holiday. Not cleaning or cooking. Thanks for the tip about bin liners and dish washing tablet. Glad to hear a few less things to pack.

We want to eat between 5-7! I think I will go with what musemum suggest and book on the day.

Maid service is great, but remember it kind of means you need to be out for that part of the day - time any naps accordingly - unless your LO can sleep with the hoover going, dishes being clattered about etc. We found (for us) it was best to settle her down for naps in the pram - that way we could nip out if he/she arrived at that time.

Didn't know the maid service does dishes too. This is sounding better and better. My two are 3.5yo and 6wks. The baby is young enough atm to not have any routines and sleeps anywhere. The older doesn't nap. (It's MIL that naps and she is coming with us. But I am sure she can work out her nap time herself Grin).

They put them in the dishwasher if they are lying around (the dishes - not the babies - or the MIL Smile ).

But we seriously found it one of the best, most relaxing holidays you can have when the kids are little - you don't need to worry about your noise disturbing others, or having to fit in with set mealtimes, or having nothing to do, sometimes just sitting in the lodge with the curtains open watching wildlife is just the best thing to do!

p.s. we went away with MIL too - ours complained about the price of everything, whinged about the food being "different" - couldn't get out of the whirly swimming bit until it stopped - and apparently the night-time was "too dark" (I know!!) - but declared it the best holiday she has ever had, and still goes on about it!

My DS is 17 now but he loved center parcs as a toddler. He called it his "happy place" and would potter about at the front door with a teaspoon (plastic-not one from lodge!!!) and a scrap of earth!
