Holiday cottage Rent with Friends and Kids - Where?

Hello,
We are trying to book a holiday cottage with two other friends' families and it seems near to impossible to get all of us - 12 people kids and adults - in one cottage.
Am I looking at the wrong sites or is it possible to go somewhere together but still being accommodated in separate but still close houses?
Where would you go with friends and kids?
Thanks!

Salcombe! It's quite pricey but try salcombe holiday homes as they have tins of choice and it really is a great place to stay with friends and kids as so much to do nearby. Lovely pubs, beaches, walks, food. We did new year last year and just booked to go back as loved so much.
Good luck!

If you google Mull cheese farm they have cottages - lovely and v close, all looking out on to a garden. Three sleep 5 a piece. One sleeps two. There is a swimming pool on site.
It is the west coast of Scotland though so might not be what you want.

Have a look at Westwood lodge Ilkley. Lovely town and great accommodation

I think the friendship would survive you all staying in separate cottages far better than all being in the same accommodation. A lot of farm holidays have barn conversions that are centered around a courtyard area, so you would be immediately next door to each other but still have your own bedrooms, living space, bathrooms etc.

try the websites groupaccommodation.com and bigholidayhouse.com for properties that would sleep all of you. personally, I would stay next door but not in the same house. we stay here in cornwall the near part that's about half an hour from Plymouth not right down the end just outside Looe. having your own place is easier when it comes to bed time/early risers tbh and the kids always enjoyed going to each others cottages for tea.
