Next years holiday!

I am looking for ideas for next year and dont seem to be getting anywhere?!?

We normally go to a haven site and stay in a caravan but would like to do something different. Cottage holidays sound nice but we need some evening entertainment and a pool.

Any ideas please???

Someone on here recommended Michaelstowe Manor, near St Tudy in Cornwall. (I'd give the web address but not sure how to do links and the web address in the brochure doesn't work!) We're going in October for 1/2 term but it has apartments, bungalows and an indoor pool. Their phone number (if you want a brochure) is 01208 851420 and e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks, i should have put though that we went to Devon this year and was thinking of going up north to the lake district.

Anyone know of what to do up there?

Does it have to be in the UK?

louwright · 20/09/2006 22:09

Yeah it does really.

Hubby is scared of flying and i'm not that keen on taking the children abroad.

That's a shame as when I was looking it was often just as cheap to go abroad as to stay in the UK.

There are some lovely places around the UK though.

Can't really think of anywhere with family evening entertainment that isn't a holiday park type thing with caravans or chalets.

I was going to suggest looking at www.totstofrance.co.uk - but it's in France so probably not suitable (although you could take the Eurostar or a ferry instead of a plane)

louwright · 23/09/2006 17:25

Thanks, ill take a look at that site later. We did go to France a couple of years ago via tunnel so its a possibility.

Hoseasons have smaller holiday parks with a variety of entertainment and activities as well as the larger haven parks. There are nice parks with wooden lodges and on site pub/ restruants and playparks etc.
