Best Family Holiday in Scotland/Northern England for Under 5s (Near the Sea)

Hi,

I was wondering where people have had their best family holiday in the UK, namely in Scotland or Northern England (probably not any further south than North Yorkshire as we live in NE Scotland).

We have a 4 year old and almost 2 year old.

Preferably self-catering.

I think some of the farm stays look good but we would like to be near a beach too as they both love the sea!

Any recommendations would be great!

Wow, budlebay looks fantastic, will definitely be adding that to my wish list! We have been to Northumberland about 4 times on hols, can I justify going again!

Think we have narrowed it down to Eile, Dunbar, North Berwick or perhaps Northumberland (as above).

Just wondering if anyone had any self catering accommodation recommendations in these places? Thanks !

May I add www.lowcostamill.co.uk - we went with 2 x 3yr olds and an 8 and 10yr old. Very good time had by all!
