Part time rail tickets

Does anyone know anything about plans for rail services to offer the option of part-time season tickets? I am currently on maternity leave and planning to return to work in London three days per week. However, after some research it appears that I am still expected to pay for a full season ticket, making it financially inviable for me to return. Surely, it can't be unreasonable, in these modern times, for train companies to implement a part-time option for those many part-time individuals! I phoned my rail provider and they told me that they have no part-time options or plans. Considering that many women do return to work part-time following having a baby, surely it is discriminatory not to offer part-time tickets?

Any advice, knowledge or opinions on this topic welcome!

No plans that I know of.
I contacted the rail company who told me to contact the rail users group. the rail users group told me 'it wasn't a priority'

I'd love a ticket that was only valid on the 3 specific days a week that I travel and I can't see any reason for them not to do this. (Apart from it potentially costing them money and us part-timers not having a powerful enough voice.)

The closest I've seen is the 'carnet' tickets that some companies offer where you can but a book of tickets a bit cheaper than a one off ticket.

My 'solution' is to work strange hours that allow me to travel on daily off peak tickets.

There has been talk in the last few days on the news about this so it is worth looking about.tfl plans

I work outside of london and travel in the opposite direction to the rush hour and it is actually cheaper for me to buy a daily ticket even if i was working every day Confused. From where i am i think there is the option of a carnet but only going into london, but we have just got oyster cards so not sure if the option is still offered.

Oddly enough I was talking about his with a friend this morning - we both have dc who work a train ride away, but just at the weekends. Buying an individual return ticket costs them more than they earn for the first hour of work. When they get a 4 hour shift, it really digs into their wages.
I'd love to be able to buy a 'block' of tickets for a discounted amount from 10x individual tickets, and then use them as needed.
I'd use the train a lot more too if I could, tbh. We are really near the station but it's so expensive for 'one off' journeys.

I work part time and travel on the main Scottish commuter line (Edinburgh - Glasgow). I buy a 'flexipass' ticket which is ten single journeys. It needs to be used within one month of issue.

It works well for me. I save quite a bit than if i was buying standard return tickets each day. Also I use a flexi pass in the morning and buy a young persons single on the way home. This saves me around £5 per day.
