Bluestone questions

We have taken the plunge and booked bluestone for the summer. Hoping I won't regret it ...

How long does it take to walk from one end if the site to the other? Or from the furthest lodges to the pool/restaurants?

Just seen we can choose our area for £60 and wondering if it's worth it or not.

Has anyone been and done days out locally? Where is nice? Thinking maybe seaside or castles for dd who will be 9.

Kids clubs, what are they like? We go to center parcs regularly and they have kids clubs where you can book them into a 3 hour session and leave them.

It is great, accommodation is brilliant and very well kitted out. We took bikes and could cycle from pool to little village centre in about 10mins. Indoor pool and slides are great but best thing are the beaches around there; amazing. Best one was Barafundel (sp?) Bay which is a bit of a walk but incredible. And loads more, all you have to drive to though as a good 30mins to yhe coast. Really fantastic place and you feel like you have gone abroad. Have fun.

There are loads of castles, Maorbier , Carew , and a bit further away Llanstephan .
A really good one , a bit of a trek though is Carreg Cennen ( take a torch if you go there . ) It has Dungeons .
Amroth , Saundersfoot , Tenby all lovely beaches
Good old Folly Farm is worth a visit , as is Manor Park
Narberth is a nice boutiquey town ,
Carmarthen has a good cinema and all the high street shops .

Thanks for the tips the dungeons sound fun ! Dd is a big history fan so would enjoy those.

Must get dd riding a bike more confidently I think before we go as I hear it's quite hilly at bluestone.

Or hire a golf buggy?

Maybe yes, but read somewhere they are £25 a day!

Been twice and to cp
Main difference is it was v hilly and exposed vs co forest
Much less dense with accommodation and less commercialised in that you're v encouraged to be off site in local area
Pool at top of hill from centre vill 10 min
Twas good
I'd take some shopping with you as less of a supermarket than cp and most local big one was a smaller ropey Morison's!

Is there not a big Tesco near by?

We're here now! Love it. Kids clubs fab..., massive activity centre for them, free and extra activities, bedtime stories, really geared around children! I'm definitely coming back !
