Looked last night on the web and rooms are going for £26, can anyone recommend which ones are best for position? Thanks

Eh which ones are available ? What do you want to do and where do you want to go ??

Covent Garden was one, sounds pretty central, we are just thinking of doing the museums but would like to go to the theatre if we could get anything reasonable enough.

They are not all £26, you need to decide when you are going etc, most of the £26 ones seem to be the ones that are service stations. I have stayed at the Greenhithe one (near Bluewater) and it has a railway line running right behind it which was a bit noisy. It is also on the site of Burger King.

Some of the London ones don't have parking or you are charged for parking.

we got £26 rooms for august at one near/in canary wharf (and free car park) - we're on a hen pamper weekend and apparently good bars etc in the area.

we're also doing vinopolis - the wine museum - got some good recommendations for this one

My mum has just booked a £26 night at the Covent Garden one. Dead chuffed she is, too. She's meeting up with friends who are staying at The Connaught on the same night. I've told her she should invite them back for a sachet of Nescafe.

bubble99 · 14/07/2006 23:09

Sachet. Now there's a naff word.

Like serviette.

bubble99 · 14/07/2006 23:18

An evening in a dinette eating a buffet with a serviette whilst sitting on a leatherette settee, sounds fairly grim.

Not keen on 'portion' either.

I'd like a light, hanging low, with a shade, over our table. In it should be a lightbulb operating at just the right wattage not to be bright enough to see anything by.

I love it when the thread turns funny! Tha Covent Garden one sounds a bargain, might go for that if we can get it.

I have stayed in several and the Covent Garden one has a fab location. There's even a small children's playground up the road. You have to book up pretty early to get the £26 rooms there, though.

WideWebWitch · 16/07/2006 15:25

The location of the Covent Garden one is fab.

hub2dee · 17/07/2006 17:05

It was bubb's fault.

No no no, be my guest, cheers me up no end! What I would do without MN and its cast I don`t know, great lot of gals!
