Centre Parcs in January?

I am thinking of booking a Centre Parcs break, it will either need to be the first weekend in November or the first weekend in January as they are when the children have staff training days at school.

We have been to Elveden in May before but never in the winter, can anyone who has been at either of these times come and give me their experience or opinion.

I also need to decide between Elveden and Sherwood if anyone has any opinion on that too.

Center Parcs in the winter is lovely. Lights in the trees, keeping cosy in the chalets and enjoying the novelty of the warmth in the swimming area Grin

Having been to both Elveden and Sherwood several times, we much prefer Sherwood. It's bigger and we prefer the swimming pool and general facilities. Especially at winter when the 'beach' at Elveden won't be important!

I used to go with adults in January. I liked it. The outdoor pool when the air is icy cold is great. And walking in the frost before a nice warm meal. Lovely.

We go every year to Sherwood at the end of January, as long as its dry-ish you can still do everything you would during the summer, and I find I appreciate the heated dome more in the winter too!

Thanks I am hoping that you would all come on and say that. I am presuming that all the paths are well lit so cycling about when it gets dark early is still possible.

Thank you everyone I feel a bit less mad in wanting to go in January now, good idea about getting a lodge a bit closer, I presume the lodges are all warm and cosy, we would be getting the new style woodland lodge.

If anyone else has an opinion then please do share.
