Personal choice I suppose.

Deep Sea World is the aquarium at South Queensferry. Also Leith Waterworld is a nice swimming pool (flumes/bubbly pool/fountains/shallow bits/family changing) at the foot of Leith Walk though it's only open Friday/Sat/Sunday during term time (open every day during hols).

zippy539 · 23/05/2006 19:31

Skribble beat me to it :)

zippy539 · 23/05/2006 19:33

There's also a nice wee playpark at the west end of Princes St Gardens (nothing fancy) but handy if you're in town and in need of a climb!

zippy539 · 23/05/2006 19:37

Arg - forgot to say, if you are in the west end of Princes St Gardens and your four year old is into trains, there is a clear sided bridge which the trains pass beneath. My two (4 and 2) love it and if you wave the drivers often wave back and/or toot their horns. The bridge is on the path which passes behind the bandstand (about 1 minute walk from aforementioned play-park).

Northerner · 23/05/2006 19:40

Thanks zippy, the train bridge sounds good. The Park may well be a welcome break from Mummy's shopping expedition!
