Things to do in Northumberland!?...

Going to Northumberland for our summer hols in July.
2 ds's aged 9 and 4.
Staying near beadnell.
I want to go to:
Alnwick castle
Bamburgh castle
Holy island
Anything else we could check out?
Or that we should give a miss!?

Eshott meercat farm, I'm off there today just up the a1 heading south about 15min ish from alnwick. It's lovely with lots of animals and its not expensive.

Well, we are off next week! (Pray the weather holds!)
Thanks so much for all the advice.
We are not actually at beadnell, but between there and seahouses.
We are hoping to do Alnwick, barter books, railway and treasure trial
With any luck they will be at the beach a lot!

Going to beadnell tomorrow for a week, third year in a row, can't wait!

Got back today.
We stayed in between beadnell and seahouses.
3 min walk to beach.
It was wonderful
Probably our best holiday tbh.
Miles and miles of lovely beaches and hardly anyone on them.
Alnwick castle
Bamburgh
Cragside
Lindisfarne
Amazing weather.
Ice creams
Fish and chips.
:)
Happy days.

It really is a beautiful part of the country.
I am sure we will go back.
