Good alternative to Centre Parcs in Midlands/North West?

Does anyone know of any good alternatives to CP in the Midlands/North West?

What I mean by that is great kids swimming facilities with slides, etc., shared accommodation for more than one family, everything you need on one site... that sort of thing.

Have been weighing up CP for autumn half term and just can't believe how they get away with charging what they do for 3 nights, in pretty rubbish accommodation, considering you then have to buy all food and spend a fortune on any activities other than swimming. Is there anywhere similar that doesn't cost the earth?

TIA

You could try looking at Darwin Forest. It doesn't have as much as centre parcs, but I think it has enough.

Thanks babybouncer, it looks lovely, but maybe a little pricey for us. Have also looked at Ribby Hall. Any other suggestions from anyone?

We've just had 2 nights at a seaside resort in a small B&B. Two adults and two teenagers. I reckon we spent nearly £500.
I wish we had gone to Center Parcs because quite honestly it would have been better.
