Paddington Tube and Overground - Negotiating with a buggy, baby, kids...

Planning to travel by tube to Paddington Station to catch a 10.45am train to Wales - with a pushchair, baby, two kids and arthritic Mum, on a week day during Olympics, oh and a Suitcase.
Can anyone advise me how long it will take to get to the overground from the underground and are the escalators huge etc?
Thanks.

i travel in london regularly with my children, DS2 is disabled & uses a wheelchair. People are lovely and very helpful.

But if you have to get accross london I do sometimes cheat & jump in a taxi just to avoid tube changes

Thanks - I've not done tube with buggy for ages and am dreading it because no lift - I think we need to travel during rush hour or else have to spend 3-4 hours at the station which I really don't fancy...
We would be exiting at the Hammersmith & City Paddington Tube exit and need to get to the overground platform Paddington to catch 10.45 train. My cheap train tickets to Wales may have been a false economy as travelling at peak time and the possible need for a taxi may negate the savings - oh bum.

It's pretty quick from Hammersmith & City to the main station. Less than 5 minutes as a lone adult, but it's essentially over a big foot bridge. There aren't escalators, but I can't remember if there are lifts.

There are destination screens at the top of the bridge, overlooking the mainline trains and it's worth checking these because one or 2 platforms can be reached directly from here and bring you closer to standard class. They (nearly) always have 1st class nearest the entrance gates.

There are ticket barriers at each platform.
