Basically my friend and I are going to London for a few days on the train. We need to get from euston station to Waterloo (hotel is near millennium wheel) with two double buggies & baggage! What's the best way (and ideally step free access) to do this?

Thank you in advance
;-)

Thank you
Am a country bumpkin so need a little reassurance- how easy is it to get on buses with double buggy? & how easy to get into a taxi with a double buggy (am trying to avoid having to collapse it)

What kind of double buggy have you got? If it is an inline buggy eg. Phil and Teds, then no problem getting on board a bus. With side-by-side buggies it depends on the bus and the buggy! Also, what you can do is wave to the driver, then ask him/her to let you on the back door. You then have to go to the front to show your ticket, but that is often easier than trying to get on via the front of the bus.

Best way to work it out is to use the tfl website. If you click 'step free' on the advanced search option of Journey Planner, then it should suggest a route.

Taxi with double bugged. Very easy at Euston. Come off platform & head towards the right of Accessorize. The lift to the taxi rank is off to the right there (in the station, just before the Sainsburys).

Lift takes you to the rank. Black cabs fine for buggies. About £10-15 to Waterloo.

What kind of double buggy is it? I do Euston to Charing Cross quite a lot and have always opted for a taxi as I can wheel a single buggy straight in. I think the bus might be a bit of a nightmare, I find it hard enough with the single buggy most days. If you do need to collapse the buggy for a taxi the driver will help. My FIL and BIL are black cab drivers..they're a friendly bunch Smile

Fine on bus by will prob only fit one buggy per bus. Same with taxi though tbh they won't fit folded buggy/ luggage and you

I'd use a bus tbh

if you want to underground it you could walk half a mile along the road from Euston to kings cross.

Use the lifts and get on victoria line to green park
use the lifts to change to jubilee line to waterloo, which has lifts to the main station

see here

Thank you all, I guess it will also depend on weather, got a few options now so feeling reassured!

It's been a while since I lived in London but Euston used to have porters, find out if they still do, they will help with baggage / push a buggy whatever and for not much money.

I'd go black cab - if you don't know the bus route or you get on the underground on the wrong line or a lift doesn't work you are going to get in a pickle.
