Hello,
we can't afford centreparcs so trying Haven. However wanted to ask mumsnet for advice before we book, just in case. We've never done a holiday park but I'm sure kids will love it (10, 6 and 5 yr olds) as it has a swimming pool. The one I'm looking at is Allhallows in Rochester Kent.
Has anyone been and would they recommend it? Any advice/suggestions on alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Primrose valley at filey and Marton mere at blackpool are great. Mil used to have a caravan at reighton sands which was ok too.

usual because it was the IOW rugby tournament and ds1 was playing. First time we stayed in basic as was only a couple of nights. There was mould on mattresses and damp and stank. Next time we went platinum (expecting it to be clean) it was disgusting and that coupled with the mindless drunk fuckers us decide to leave after tournament and not stay extra night. This year dh and ds1 just going and will be pitching a tent. Is that ok? Am I allowed an opinion then?

Re centreparcs, just had week at longleat and was brilliant Grin

Cant stand Haven, had a awful experience once and will never give them my business ever again. (yes i know they wont notice) i tend to go for smaller parks and private hire a caravan. You tend to get much better van for less money and can still use the facilities if you buy the passes. I do love a verranda :) Park Holidays has always been nice and there is one park 'Solent Breezes' which was lovely, small and family run. Had a great time.

We camped at one in Weymouth last July. The pools were nice and clean, the sports activities good, and the site very well run. Didn't go to the evening entertainment as not out thing, and preferred to sit at the tent and drink wine

Oh mama, what a bloody lush part of the country. We went for a week two years ago, the weather was so good. One of our best weeks away. Do you get to go to splashdown in poole? Kids loved it no where like it over here in the arse end of the east.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/02/2012 10:12

Ds1 nags about splashdown but only taken him twice [blush, hard as have large age gap so last time ds2 couldn't go on flumes, tho a trip for dh to take the boys on now I think Smile We are Southampton side of new forest, and is lovely here, can literally walk to the new forest. We are very lucky.

I haven't used Haven before...but saying that I haven't used Centreparcs either. However I have booked with a company called South Lakeland Holidays, which have holiday parks in the North of England. We went to a holiday park on the North West coast last year and loved it. This year we are going to their holiday park in the Lake District, which is very exciting :o
