I've been to bewilder wood, it is great but I'd say that dc need to be at least 4 to get Any benefit.

CMOTDibbler · 29/12/2011 16:22

Diggerland is fab - you get there and wonder if its worth the money, but we were there from opening to closing and didn't want to leave.

Bristol zoo was great when ds was smaller as everything is close together

scrappydappydoo · 29/12/2011 16:29

Paultons park which includes Peppa pig world is great.

miSaltireandwine · 29/12/2011 16:32

Paignton Zoo

NewBikeForChristmas · 29/12/2011 16:34

Diggerland not worth the money if under three, under 90 cm or pregnant.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a big hit here.if you are not local it is 2 mins off J38 of the M1, handy for breaking a long journey north.

TheAnnoyingSatsuma · 29/12/2011 16:34

Alice Holt woodland
Chessington World of Adventure
any steam railway
Tank Museum, Dorset
Isle of Wight (Blackgang Chine if you want a 'paid' attraction there)

TheAnnoyingSatsuma · 29/12/2011 16:35

Bodiam Castle
Carisbrooke Castle
Northumberland - lots of castles there!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 29/12/2011 16:49

NT Belton House.
NT Shugborough.
Twycross Zoo.
Ash End Children's Farm.
Kingsbury Water Park.

I'm waiting a couple more years before we try theme parks or Warwick Castle!

bytheMoonlight · 29/12/2011 23:09

dd1 is 4 so I guess the days out are more for her really, just wondering if we could do bewilder wood with a 13 month in tow!

OP posts:
MissPricklePants · 29/12/2011 23:17

Centre for life in Newcastle and Alnwick garden for the treehouse and lots of water play

KarenG · 30/12/2011 18:36

Science Museum, London
Yes to Bewilderwood, but you'd have to take it in turns to look after the 13 month old while the other one goes down the zip wires! (yes, adults are allowed on them!)
Alnwick garden
Alnwick castle
Seven Stories in Newcastle

mummymeister · 31/12/2011 01:11

Beconscot model village, ironbridge, diggerland, legoland and any beach any where any time.

NotAnotherNewNappy · 02/01/2012 17:16

Drusilla's Park (East Sussex)
National Army Museum (Kensington) especially the Kidzone soft play
Leeds Castle (Kent)
Diana Memorial Fountain (Hyde Park) on a sunny day
Sea World Birmingham (much less packed and therefore more enjoyable than London)

NotAnotherNewNappy · 02/01/2012 17:18
