Need ideas, for musuems, galleries, places to eat. I'm not interested in Madame Tussauds or anything like that, which are the must-see museums etc?

Planning 2days, do something each morning, and afternoon, stopping somewere for lunch and evening meal.

Just adults, or will there be DC?

Your first time, how exciting!

I love the Museum of London, just a really fantastic history of the place in chronological order.

Tate Modern and Tate Britain good for art.

Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green is super. There are a few cafes in that area that I can recommend if you fancy it.

Second Museum of London, it's great.

How exciting!

Just two adults. Romantic options would be good too!

I have been before actually, to the Natural History Museum when I was 7, but I can't remember it so it doesn't really count!

I definitely want to go to the V&A.

Will look up those suggestions, thankyou. Yes, Tate shold be a definite too I think.

Go to Sir John Soanes House and The Hunterian Museum - they are v close to each other and are two of the best small museums I have ever been too. A walk away from Covent Garden too, so you could maybe have lunch in Massala Zone or Wahaca afterwards.

to not too

We went for a cocktail in the bar at the Ritz the other night. Yes, it was overpriced (£20 each! Agh!) but it was so romantic, quiet, attentive staff.

The Museum of Childhood is good, not just for kids, for looking at retro toys. There is a cafe near called Pellicci's, it's really cool, art deco interior, lovely staff, you end up sitting on a table with other customers and getting into a conversation, it's lovely.

Look on the time out website, has loads of suggestions.

Oh that sounds nice, I love anything art deco. looks lovely inside! I haven't read the review though, don't want to know everything before I experience it!

It is lovely redhappy. A proper local's cafe too. It's not open on Sundays though.
