We are planning to go for a week in August. Can anyone recommend a good company to book through? Type of cruiser (2 adults, 3 DCs ages 9, 7 and 4)? Best places to go etc? Any other tips? Thanks.

we booked through blakes on a cruiser also, some broads are tidal - we goton at potter heigham and went as far as we could really without gettign into tidal areas. I went with dh and 2 friends and stopped at various pubs getting inibriated. Tbh now i have experienced it i probably wouldnt take kids as you had to be half cut to enjoy it. I would hire a day cruiser instead. Im sure other people have had better experiences. It was red hot and it was fun crashing into the sides trying to park up.

Moonfleet Marine at Stalham is a really nice family run business. The Broads are only really tidal at Great Yarmouth and to be honest if you are worried about this you could easily spend a week without having cross Breydon Water which is the tidal part. Take advice from the boatyard as to the best type of boat for your family, if you book with an agent such as Blakes they will not necessarily know the actual boat you are booking. It's a great holiday, the kids will love it.

Go to Clippesby Hall for the week and hire a cruiser for the day.

Our kids were fed up with being on the boat after Ohh all of 20mins.
