Center Parcs - Elvedon - advice please

Hi - I've read various MN threads giving lots of good advice for newbies off to Center Parcs for the first time. We're going to Elvedon in a few weeks, and my question relates to buggies. I've got a 20 month old and a 4 month old and use a double buggy for them at the moment. We do also have a back carrier plus sling for baby - would you recommend leaving the buggy and using the alternative methods to transport them? Or is it fine to use a buggy? I was wondering particularly whether the buggy might get stolen (I've read that cycles get stolen, and am panicking, as I couldn't be without the buggy). Also, is there much space inside the accommodation to store buggies etc? Any other general tips to help us on our way? Many thanks!

I have been to 3 Center Parcs sites and have found Elvedon to be the flattest so don't think the terrain would give you too many problems with a buggy. You can get a bike lock at the Cycle Hire centre to lock the buggy at the pool and restaurants. I have been to CP about once a year for the last 14 years and have not had any problems with theft.

The accomodation usually has a narrow hallway with a boiler cupboard in it. I have only ever travelled with a single buggy or pram but have been able to leave it up in the hallway. Not too sure if it will be wide enough to do that with a double buggy. The boiler cupboard houses a folded up cot and highchair. When you take these out to put in the bedroom and dining room there may be enough room in there to store your buggy when you aren't using it.

In terms of general tips my little ones liked Baby Dolphins - a free swimming activity aimed at under 3's which runs before the pool open to the public. The supermarket is well stocked but is a little bit pricey. Try to take as much food as you can.

The pool areas aimed at small children are quite nice and if I can remember correctly are situated in quieter areas of the pool complex. There are chairs around the pool and a couple of cot/playpen things - useful if your LO needs a nap. The swim vests are free and hanging up at the pool entrance. Take a £1 coin for the lockers.

Have a great trip - very jealous!
