Hi, just an idea. Look on premier inn London kew. I noticed cheap deals yesterday whilst booking a trip myself. Close to tube station, can leave car there, hop on tube to museums, think it's even on the right tube line! Hope you find something! Took DS to London for his 7th, he absolutely loved it!

LoopyLoopsPoopaScoop · 29/01/2011 18:45

Any of these any good?

LoopyLoopsPoopaScoop · 29/01/2011 18:47

All these are Cornwall

LoopyLoopsPoopaScoop · 29/01/2011 18:48

(and I think you can find a MN discount code on the discounts page)

try lastminute.com they do top secret hotel deals. we have used these before and the hotels are geberally 4-5 star and centrally located. you can often get a room fir around £100 per night.

beachesforme · 29/01/2011 19:08

try the olde house in cornwall (wadebrige, near padstow). if you do a google you can get the number. they have cottages on a farm, indoor pool and play area and kids can help feed the animals. we are going in march for a week and it is 375 and as it is quiet period you may well be able to get a short stay for cheap. hope you sort something out. ps, friends have been to olde house and say it is great for kids, when i booked they were really helpful and changed the start date so we could be there for my daughters birthday

www.laterooms.com searching for your criteria have availability at various london hotels for this week well within your budget at 3*.

London has plenty of budget hotels and cheap B&Bs to choose from so if you want to save money on accommodation my advice will be for you to stay in a bed and breakfast. As well as being cheaper, B&Bs are often family run with friendly service so the staff can offer plenty of insider knowledge about London. I've stayed in London bed and breakfasts and always had a good time without spending that much. Good luck!

sorted premier inn kew....Now what is there to do gardens seem to expensive!

Premier Inn (if its where I think it is) is close to Watermans theatre who do some good kids stuff, theres a steam museum and a music museum but may not be that interesting to a 6 yr old girl (I think you said).

Brentford and Kew Bridge stations are close and go into waterloo - Waterloo is close to London Eye (walking distance I think)

I think you need to get a bus to the tube but museums in town are free and Victoria and ALbert do particularly good stuff for kids - they have great backpacks you can check out to help a child find out stuff about the museums - check out their website its all free.

You might also find some CHinese New year stuff still going on in Soho?

beachesforme · 01/02/2011 21:14

Thanks the chinese new year thing looks good.
