...is Westward Ho! nice? We are after sand...as the dc will be 6, 4 and 0.
All the websites say good area for surfing - does that mean they are very windy/exposed?

Now I have given up on any more camping weekends this year I am wondering where I can rent a house next summer (lots of family will come) - we've been to S Wales and E Sussex recently, so I was looking for somewhere different to visit. I love Norfolk, but we will probably camp there a lot, so somewhere else, southern half of the country (warmer)...

Woolacombe is our favourite beach - spoiled us for other beaches, because of the wonderful sand, the rock pools and the surf!

NorbertDentressangle - well thank you Grin

We've tended to stick to the north coast and have been to Cornwall a few times in recent years.

currently looking for a house to take 6 adults, 2 small children and (all being well) a baby in the saunton/croyde/woolacombe sort of area next summer.
It feels ridiculous to look now but would quite like to have a choice of where we go...

Worth a look here, they don't seem as pricey as some of the holiday cottages websites...
