Centre Parcs for a 3 year old?

Am considering going to centre parcs for a 4 night break in a couple of weeks time, but wanted your views on whether there was much to do with a 3 year old? Is it more suitable for older kids?

It is great for 3 year olds, they love the pool, nice and warm, little slides and paddling areas. And they can go in the trailer at the back of the bike or if old enough cycle on their own. And there's swings, playgrounds, woods to wander in and deer, rabbits, ducks, all at no extra cost.

No need to bother with the super-expensive activities at that age, it tends to be £8 painting sessions or nursery-rhyme time for that age.

And most of the restaurants have soft play areas with video cameras so you can supervise from your table rather than hovering at the play room door.

We took our two year old last year and had a lovely time. There are some toddler activities to book which she enjoyed, we spent the rest of our time cycling or in the swimming pool. You can't really take advantage of most of the sports on offer, but this does keep the cost down!

Thanks - sounds great. What's the story with pre-booking any activities if you want to take advantage of them? How do you find out what's on offer before the online booking stage? Oh and - last question - can you choose the location of your accomodation? Hubbie has a dodgy knee so can't walk lots.

You can choose your location but you pay for it. £30 or something I think.

DD is 3 and loves Center Pars. Swimming, wildlife, cycling etc. It's lovely. You don't have to pay to do extras, not necessary at all.

They do a package where you get a reduced price spa session if you book the kid into the creche, I think.

A few weeks before you go they email you with the details of pre-bookable activities, but going out of school hols, you should be OK booking just before you go.

You might get a central appt if you ask, as it's for medical/disability related reasons, seems a but harsh to charge for something that's a necessity? But you can definitely choose your appt and book a specific one.
