Bleached hair treatment

I know this questioned has probably been asked 100 times but please help.

I have always had highlights. During lockdown I have gone 5 months without getting hair done and as a result my natural waves/curls have improved greatly. I also haven't used any heat styling for 3 months.

With lockdown lifting and me returning to work I'm going to need to start styling my hair again and get my roots done.

I can't wait to get my bright blonde back but I don't want to undo all the good this break has done.

Can anyone suggest a really good treatment to use post bleach to restore some of the moisture etc?

Price isn't really an issue if it is good (within reason) but it doesn't need to repair the hair, not just hide the problem, if that makes sense?

Thank you in advance!

Olaplex, innoluxe or brazilian bond builder are the best things for bleached hair. Not cheap but they do work. Each range normally has one part that can be mixed into the bleach as it goes on the hair, then a corresponding part that goes on at the backwash, then a leave in/serum thing. Ask your hairdresser which, if any, they use - a decent hairdresser should use something like this - and ask them which parts they would recommend you buy to use at home. Eg, in my salon we use innoluxe, (i have used the others as well, they’re all much of a muchness) and we sell part three that goes on as a serum/heat protector for clients to take home and maintain their hair. It’s not cheap but professional grade products are worth it, and you do not need to use much. I use a pea sized amount of part three on long haired clients, it’s plenty.

You want a product that has keratin in it for repair, this is the protein that hair is made of.

And (sorry i know this isn’t what you asked haha) if you have a look at the curly/wavy girl method, that will help improve the hair’s condition, and you could use the rest of lockdown to experiment with heatless/gentler styling. Do you have a diffuser? Diffusing your waves then sleeping with them in a silk scarf or bonnet is a game changer, there’s lots of good tips on instagram around diffusing, protecting hair between wash days, and refreshing curls in between washes. Also look at heatless styling methods, like this heatless sock wave trick

Thank you everyone. I bought the Olaplex starter kit and it was good but not AMAZING. That included number 3,4,5,6. I'll have a look at the product for in the bleach. I did look into the curly girl method . I have cut out sulphates etc and use a diffuser. It does help a lot! I will take a look at the other brands for a Keratin treatment. Thank you so much!
