online full-time education

Hi
Does anyone know the names of companies that offer full time education online to children at home? Children, for example, who have health or anxiety issues and do not go to a physical school.
Thanks.

Hi Samanthamercer
Thank you so much for responding to my query. It sound like a tutoring service for different subjects rather than a provision for fulltime education, but I will certainly check them out.
Best wishes Jim

There are a growing number of online schools in the UK. Most offer education from Y5 upwards although some go down to Y4.

The schools listed below all have websites and offer different packages. You will see that some are more flexible than others and obviously the fees and contracts vary too! Potential things to consider as you compare them are class size (online, in my opinion,10-12 students per class is max), subjects offered, whether classes are recorded, subject choice and extra-curricular offerings.

Net School
Interhigh
BriteSchool
Cambridge Homeschool Online
My Online Schooling

I teach at one of these, so I don't want to comment too much on the schools' individual merits. However, with my parent's hat on, I can say that my daughter attended BriteSchool when she was younger (the modern language provision was fantastic) and she has been at Net School now for about 5 years and it has worked extremely well for her!

Thanks for replying mincepieeater. Unfortunately, I can't work out what you meant by that statement. I'm probably misreading it!

Best wishes, Jimbo
