tutoring service for school refuser

Anyone got any experience of using a tutoring service ? DD 14 not attending school due to anxiety and panic. CAMHS and school have referred her to alternative provision (tutoring service)
Don't know much about it.. short term, long term, what's it like? Is it also for excluded kids ? or just anxious or unwell kids? Concerned if its like a PRU with lots of disruption/ behavioural issues it won't help much..
Any examples or people's experience I'd love to hear about them.

I know a child who used to go to my school had lots of tutoring from prepschooltutor.co.uk when they became a school refuser. The woman who runs it is lovely and she's got a team of specialist tutor who cover all of the subjects. It's online too, via skype, so if they're struggling with anxiety then they don't need to leave the house or have a 'stranger' around.

I tutor for pupils in this sort of situation-sometimes they have had tutoring for a while then moved to another school or gone onto college etc.
I have taught children with anxiety or that have been bullied it all depends

I have referred a child I support due to anxiety DH school, refusal to a service like is.
The one at me is run from the pru and the tutors co,e to the house.
It's designed to be up to twelve weeks home tutoring, four days a week, with a view to move to the pru.
The tutors are trained to deal with medical school reusable, not just exclusion.
I think you need to find out from the referrer which service this is.

My child is currently home tutored ... he's got special needs and the school are refusing to take him, it's all illegal and no real reason other than they don't want a disabled kid at the school. Very frustrating. Anywho, in the meantime we have a tutor, she's been involved since March, and covers 5 hours a week over 4 days, that's all these services tend to do, something like an hour a day. So although it's better than nothing it's not an ideal long term solution.

Any specific questions feel free to ask.

When my dd was first diagnosed with CFS and became unable to go to school she had a Tutor for 1or 2 hours 4 days a week , provided by the local health needs for education service . You were supposed to only have the tutor for 12 weeks max and then try to get into the health needs school pt . Eventually after about 18 months ( we'd still got our tutor) we decided to HE instead for a variety of reasons , and I do know that the system has changed since and the length of time for tutors is greatly diminished .
