Hi I’m new even though my daughter is almost 20 who is joining the Royal Navy.
I have been following the JoJo Dullard updates for last 3 weeks.
i have a confession to make and I’m glad no one can see my name here. I am an ex girlfriend of the suspect whose land is being searched.
i haven’t lived in Ireland since late 90s so wasn’t up to date with everything until now.
Last year I was interviewed by the Gardai twice (they got my details from my brothers who are still in Ireland).
I was with the suspect quite a few years before JoJo disappeared, we met through mutual friends though we sort of knew each other anyway. I never felt unsafe or had any inkling something could be wrong, it was a normal ‘young’ relationship. We broke up as I felt I was too young to settle down which I told the Gardai.
For the record I also wasn’t the letter writer reported in the media.
I am torn how this has happened but on other hand hope they find her

I don't think there will ever be a cold case murder case solved in Ireland, it seems unless the perpetrators are caught in the act, admitted it, or someone saw it happening in real time or sent a direct phone message. The DPP must have files falling out of the building by now. They are a total disgrace. It seems the local community always know though.

So many young women missing presumed dead, it seems like no one's doing anything aside from the occasional update on what gardaí know . I know there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes but it doesn't look good .

@Member984815
Look at the current Satchwell case, 6.5 years to find her, she was in the house all along. Look at the current Kerry farmer case, search done and he was there all along; took them 2 months. Look at the missing women, described in popular culture as ' Ireland's vanishing triangle'.

Deirdre Jacob - they know who did it, he's away abroad now.
Annie McCarrick - they know who did it.
Fiona Pender - they know who did it, he's away abroad also.
JoJo - as we know above - they know, he has even been named on other websites.

There is no serial killer, all separate examples of an absolutely useless police force.

I agree , they should all be investigated separately. They are separate crimes and should be looked at that way. Sandra Collins also , people know who killed her .

I have only come across this thread now @BobbySox71
So many unsolved murders, some with political interference.
I sometimes think of those 2 young girls - one in Donegal, Mary Boyle a 6 year old, missing presumed dead. No justice for her or those who love her and in Sligo, in Collooney, 10 year old Bernadette Connolly who went missing in April 1970. Her body was found 112 days later. She was murdered.
In both cases the murderers are supposedly known to the police but nothing has happened.
In one case pressure from politicians is said to have hindered the investigation and in another, pressure from the Catholic church.
Both girl have sisters who are proactive in the search for answers. My heart goes out to them. It’s so hard on them.
Time has passed. I’m hoping some brave investigative journalist will review both cases.
Mary, Bernadette, JoJo, Annie, Deirdre and all 🥲 the others deserve their cases to be solved.
