Billie Jo Jenkins unsolved murder

Hi all I'm not sure if anyone remembers the case?

I've always assumed it was her foster father Sion Jenkins (same surname but not biologically connected, just coincidence) who was responsible for her murder but I recently saw a youtube comment saying they believed it was a levi bellfield attack, has anyone heard this theory before?
I personally believe levi bellfield is likely responsible for many more murders than we'll ever know.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts? I do particularly hate LB so it's possible I'd blame him for anything given the opportunity so I'm just curious if anyone has looked into this theory?

I'd love to see Billie Jo's birth family have closure and justice for her murder and if it was the Foster father, Sion, who I do think is most likely her killer, I hope he is found guilty one day.

I've looked and looked and can't find Murder on the Patio anywhere only Who Killed Billie Jo on Paramount. Annoying as it was on late and I didn't bother recording it and just thought I'll get it on catch up.

Edited

It seems its maybe the same documentary?
Unless C5 are planning to really milk poor Billie Jo's death if no new evidence has happened been brought forward since who killed Billie Jo.
But I couldn't find anything on Google for murder on the patio, just who killed Billie Jo.

I'm just watching it now and the detectives are saying that witnessed were able to vouch that Mr B, plastic guy, was at the park and the distance between the house and where he was meant he was ruled out of investigation.

Plastic up her nose is a real coincidence when the mentally ill man had a thing for it but I just think that's all it was.

Could her killer have maybe put a bag over her head so she was disoriented and maybe blood spatter was minimally splashed onto the killer, but maybe when removing the bag from a falling Billie Jo just roughly taken from her head but some plastic pushed into her nose to ensure she definitely couldn't breathe?
Maybe a plastic bag was used in the murder, quickly removed, and stuffed into something else and thrown away never to be discovered?

It's just even though it was said the plastic was there to be protecting her from paint fumes, I've never ever heard of anyone doing that and I dated a painter/decorator a while. I'm sure if it was common practice he'd have mentioned that because he hated the fumes from gloss.

If SJ had been previously violent to wee Billie Jo, why if this was a lost temper situation did it go as far as to murder her?
I would love to know the polices theories/police psychologists on this because Sion has form for violence, lying and I fully agree with the PP who called him narcissistic, to write a book about the death of a child you were known to abuse, even if your involvement in her murder wasn't proven, but who was definitely abusive towards, seems a very spiteful act only someone with narcissist traits or the actual NPD would do.
Any normal human would shrink into the background and hope the public forgets him.

Not SJ the creepy fucker.

I watched it this afternoon. It does sound like Mr B was ruled out as he was seen too far away at the crucial times. I think the black plastic bag was there with a blanket inside it, presumably to kneel on whilst she was painting. Things i took from it. It seems the daughters were by the car according to their statements in the first instance. And that he went in for a short time. And he changed his statement as to where he was about 3 times and then accused Lois of later trying to influence the girls to alter their statements. In the 999 call he was asked if Billie Jo was breathing and he said he didn't know. He didn't check for a pulse and move her into the recovery position as advised by the responder. He claimed the reports of DV by Lois and and a report by a friend who claimed to see him kicking Billie Jo were made up. The driving round in the car for white spirit still seems very strange. Billie Jo had apparently already kicked off that day as she wanted to buy trainers and was told she had to do chores. I do find getting a 13 yo to paint the doors in the first place a bit strange. It's not the same as washing the car or tidying up.

Kaleidoscopic101 · 11/11/2024 21:15

The theory is that SJ went back and sat in the car for a while after he found her to give a plausible explanation as to why there might be her DNA or blood in his car. He said something along the lines of he was in shock or something (I can't remember exactly as been a while since I watched)

I’m half way through the documentary and I didn’t realise SJ was convicted for a while for this murder and his conviction was quashed.

it seems that there was reasonable doubt, but everything about SJ screams guilt to me. If Lois is being truthful (I believe she is) and SJ strangled her previously then I fully believe he is capable of murder. Unfortunately I’ve had personal experiences of being strangled by men, 2, (not in a sexual situation it was pure temper and quite out of the blue, not during arguments) and I believe both those men would have happily killed a woman had the fear of consequences hadn’t snapped them out of their anger.

I just cannot get my head around how quickly it all must have happened and why but I don’t think SJ would confess if he did it under any circumstances, if he’s Billie Jo’s killer he will take that and his reasons why to the grave. The documentary says Billie Jo must have had some altercation with her killer, how frightening for her.

Since SJ’s conviction is quashed, does that now make Billie Jo’s case officially a cold case, does anyone know? Hopefully with the rise in the interest in cold cases a new wave of interest will influx into this case, be it covered from YouTubers or Netflix make a show. Because what a horrible life poor Billie Jo had, she at least deserves justice.

I remember this case well as I lived fairly locally at the time and was a similar age to Billie Jo. Sion Jenkins was a violent, narcissistic liar and it was clear at the time that his wife was convinced he'd done it. I think she took her other daughters and went to live in Australia. The timing was always hard to reconcile though - he had such a small window in which he could have committed the crime. Whether he did it or not, I think it was probably inevitable that the conviction would be quashed, as there was such a dearth of evidence. Poor Billie Jo - I think it's very unlikely we'll ever know for certain what happened to her.

RissiOne · 11/11/2024 22:08

He studied for a degree in either criminology or criminal psychology after he was released from prison. Which seemed an odd choice.

ChitterChatter1987 · 11/11/2024 22:26

The children of Siôn Jenkins and friends of Billie-Jo said that Siôn had been violent as they grew up and had used corporal punishment against them.[12][9] Two schoolfriends of Billie-Jo said that she had confided in them that Siôn had punched her and scratched her neck, and that on one occasion she had come to school with blood on her face, saying that Jenkins had held her up against a door after she had told him to stop slapping her pet dog.[12] The schoolfriends also reported that on multiple occasions she would come to school with bruises on her arms and legs, claiming they were from arguments with her father.[12] They testified that Billie-Jo had once written "Hate" on her knuckles and "I hate my dad (Sion)".[12]Jenkins would later admit slapping Billie-Jo in anger, and then revealed that he occasionally hit the children with a slipper or with a ruler.[13] His wife Lois also described his "vein-popping" anger when he lost his temper with Billie-Jo.[12] Family friends also stated that Billie-Jo had once been kicked aggressively in the ankle by Siôn while on holiday in France in August 1996, despite her ankle being sprained at the time.[14]I think that is all pretty conclusive....Plus he had blood on him and was behaving erratically around the time of the murder.Crazy how he hasn't been convicted for it IMO....I guess not quite enough evidence. It's really worrying that he is still walking free and an insult to poor Billie-Jo.Whether there is proof of murder or not, he is clearly still an incredibly abusive man.

It IS the same one, I watched it and recognised a bit of seen on channel 5.

I think Sion did it. Strangled his wife only weeks before, what are that statistics, I can't remember exactly but once a man has done that he's crossed a line and is very likely to kill in the near future.

I don't think so, it was a perfectly normal job back when I was a teen and ds had to help paint our fence. In fact the other daughter 'was desperate ' to paint, it was a fun job.

There’s an excellent, well-researched Podcast series about Billie-Jo Jenkins, hosted by Naomi Channell. After listening to the whole thing I’m left with no doubt as to who killed the poor girl.

It's abhorrent group that the website and campaign group Justice for Sion Jenkins still exists, where is the justice for Billie Jo. These same people most likely bankrolled his high end lawyers. He marries a (rich) woman, a woman who wont even asked him if he killed Billie Jo, what the hell is that all about.

Fuckers. Poor Billie Jo. I’ve cared for family children and whilst they’ve flourished in their permanent families, (whilst dads were getting shit together etc) it crushes me to think that Billie Jo wasn’t safe in a home with a social worker and deputy head teacher where are these vulnerable kiddos safe?

On the documentary when it plays parts of Sions book he narrated himself he says the most odious shite, “why would a strong, politically left leaning woman with a degree be abused”. Utter wanker, abusers don’t usually give a flying fuck about your education or political views. What a gobshite.

His interview with Trevor Macdonald is VOM...he's all about licking his lips and shuffling awkwardly in his chair etc it's really hard to watch I had to look away.

BSintolerant · 12/11/2024 13:40

The interview with Trevor Macdonald was fascinating. I’d like to see how The Behaviour Panel would interpret Jenkins’ body language. Trevor Macdonald gave me the impression that he didn’t believe a word Jenkins said.

I bet sir trev thought he was a wrongun!

I'm still slowly getting through the doc and I’m so angry.

SJ is just a typical bully.
He’d not lose his temper with a bloke who’d have no problems smacking him right back.

This creepy fuck has gotten away with killing Billie Jo and the the defence Mr B is the likely culprit, when the timing is near impossible and certainly no witnesses to place him at the scene is bollocks.

The documentary has just explained a (different) young girl was attacked by someone who used plastic in her attack in the park.
If this was local knowledge then I wonder if the plastic was placed after the attack, maybe as a deterrent?

The documentary makes it clear SJ is responsible and I do hate trial by media, but I think the evidence being omitted such as bone fragments on SJ makes me incandescent.

And just to add SJ calling Billie Jo just Billie is making me want to tear his fucking skin off.
The disrespectful little twat, Billie Jo, her name was Billie Jo.

i guess that as the know Levi Bellfield committed quite a few murders anyway unsolved they would check if he was in the area at the time or working there so they can possibly solve the case.
