On the original thread that started this topic of MN. (The post was originally if I remember correctly a poster, sorry I can't remember your name if you see this) asking us what cases stayed with us and Suzy's name was mentioned lots.
I read about her case and watched a documentary about her on paramount, I think it was a channel 5 one originally.

The police believe Suzy was murdered and they believe her killer who is already in prison for despicable crimes against women, I found the evidence extremely compelling against the believed suspect.

One thing that really shone through though in the documentary and online things I've read is what a beautiful, proactive and wonderful family Suzy was blessed with, especially her mother.

Chilling and very sad case but to any of the posters who were still unsure as to who killed Suzy, I'd definitely recommend the documentary.
Usually I'm always sceptical about trial by telly and believe documentaries can definitely steer a narrative, however I really felt after this one the police had cracked it and they seemed haunted they never got to convict the evil bastard for Suzy's murder.

I hope Suzy and her now deceased loved ones are at peace.

I used to work with her sister, long after Suzy disappeared. Sister was lovely - a genuinely funny and warm person. I never asked her about the incident as it wouldn't have been appropriate but I did wonder how the fuck she'd coped with all that and still turned out to be so lovely.

How terribly sad! Her whole family seemed very warm.
It's incredible how people who experience such awful tragedy can continue to be so "normal" when underneath the surface they're going through a struggle that most of us can't imagine.

We never think that these warm and charming families will have such dreadful experiences do we? We always presume it'll be women in the dead of night walking home drunk or women in vulnerable situations such as those suffering with addiction.

It's also strange to think when you're the loved one of a missing person, or murder victim, or even a murderer, your identity changes. You're no longer just you, you're someone attached to tragedy.

I hope, truly, there is a world of hell in store for him. And I hope his death was scary and filled with pain.

Tragic isn't it? He was never ever going to admit it, controlling the only power he had left.

I read a very interesting book about this a couple of years ago. I think the author’s name is David Videcette. Ex police. I can’t remember exactly now but he didn’t think it was Cannan. It was very well written and compelling.

I have heard of this book recently, I think it was mentioned on a reddit post. I'll have to find a copy, thank you 😊
