scooter help required

its dds birthday tomorrow and my dad sent a scooter via amazon.
just unwrapped it and its an i-scoot and the bolt has fallen straight out, it is very tall and turns by leaning rather than by handles. i think this is unsuitable for a small 3 yr old??
any opinions on more suitable scooter and can this be returned to amazon?
any help would be appreciated thanks

Dont know about returns but cannot recommend highly enough the micro scooter from www.micro-scooters.co.uk

DD and DS1 both started on these and both now have the maxi-micro version which is suitable from 6 years I think.

What I like about them is that they have three wheels and are incredibly stable. Turning by balance a good thing IMO - I found the 2 wheelers less stable because a yank on the handlebars could send the rider flying.

is the mini micro i'm thinking of.

Hi there, I don't know what an i-scoot is but my DD has had a mini micro T-bar scooter since she was 2. It is great, I highly recommend it. She is pretty small herself so it should not be a problem, however it does turn by leaning as well, though I think this is better than turning the handles. So maybe the i-scoot will be ok.

THe iscoot i've just seen on amazon seems v. similar tp the mini micro. I think would be fine for a 3 yearold though obviously you'll have to deal with getting replacement for faulty goods.

HOnestly, the balancing to steer is brilliant. Kids of 3 much less able IMO to cope with the mechanics of turning steering handlebar, and also i've seen the 2 wheelers getting stuck in divots or kids flying over the top of them far more often than on the three wheeler balancing type.

I was going to recommend the microscooters that pooka said.

DS2 has one and so do a few of his friends they are awesome.

def get a mini micro.

thanks, too late to get one for her birthday obviously but this i-scoot seems for older kids, its tall on the lowest setting, will look at mini micro scooters.
