Another dolls house question…

Hi all,

I’m looking at purchasing a dolls house for Christmas for my DD, she is just over three years old.

I have narrowed my search down to two dollhouses.

The first is Cherry Tree Hall by Le Toy Van: https://www.babyandchildstore.com/shop/toys/dolls-houses/le-toy-van-cherry-tree-hall-wooden-dolls-house/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC5J4JoAun5IzL8_5wPNnFZKiKHD0&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt8bpx6XmiQMV8odQBh1Pqg7fEAQYAiABEgIfvvD_BwE

The second is Dovetail House by Tender Leaf: https://www.thekidcollective.co.uk/tender-leaf-dovetail-house.html?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC9i_vbSRLx0THElVs-Akt8S83Y7H&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrICLq6bmiQMVHZ1QBh3wICNDEAQYASABEgJQy_D_BwE

If anyone has a doll house for their child/children, can you please suggest which one out of the two listed would be better?

If I went for the Cherry Tree Hall one which is larger, this would be placed on the floor. If I went for the Dovetail house one, this would be placed on a small unit so my DD could play with this standing up as it is a bit smaller. I’m sure I’ve previously read somewhere on this site that dolls houses placed on the floor which mean that children have to bend down to reach lower levels is more likely to result in the child being disinterested?!

Thanks!

To be fair, dd hardly played with hers at all. It was a plain wooden one that mybstep painted beautifully after one of dd's little brat friends took a felt tip to it.

It's quite fetching and ornamental in an alcove on the upstairs landing.

She's 26. I may have spent more time arranging furniture and little dollies in it than she did.

If I were you I'd buy a second hand one or cheap one for as little as possible as a sort of road test.

It's a lovely idea and they do look lovely.

They are both beautiful dolls houses. My dd's are 9 and 6 and we have one for 7 years that is still played with. Ours is on the floor and is still played with. I would nearly go with the bigger one because we have a lot of furniture that won't fit in the house and I like the space in the taller one.
