Wheely Bug Large or Small?

I’m planning to buy DD a Wheely Bug for her first birthday. I’ve read that small are really small and won’t last long but I don’t want to get the big one and find she can’t use it for ages. What are your experiences? And which animal did you choose? Thanks!

Do you mean a scuttle bug? The normal one is smaller than the XL on the smallest setting.
We had a normal scuttle bug and my two year old wanted to ride it all time which caused problems with the 5 year old who a,so wanted it. I bought one XL and then for the sake of peace had to buy another! They both still ride the small one
the XL seems faster though

Definitely the bigger one.

We got the small one and it still gets used at 3 yrs old.

@ForkedIt this is good to know. I’m inclined to go for the smaller as she is quite petite (9th centile) and has a 5 year old brother who will have his eye on the bigger one if I get it 🤣

We bought a large one for our DS1 (now 23!!) for his 2nd birthday and it was fine. DS3 (aged 13) still rides it up and down the living room sometimes. It's still going strong and the kids have not been gentle with it!

I got the ladybird one for DDs first birthday, also 9th centile and her feet didn't touch the ground to start but she still loved pushing it. I think the big would have been giant. Now at 18 months she's plenty big enough and loves it, though still really enjoys pushing it at breakneck speed and lugging it around as well as riding it. I think there's plenty of life left in it so would recommend the small one. And they're easy to sell on when outgrown.
