Toys which occupy your two year old?

Any good ideas for Christmas for my 2.5 year old daughter? Want something which will occupy her, she’s very clingy and I struggle to get anything done (she just wants to watch Peppa all the time!!) Most successful toy at the minute is duplo, so possibly something building related? Thanks!

Play doh and lots of accessories like rolling pins, cutters etc...

How about a Brio wooden railway set? Yes, I know..... But we got our son one and our niece wouldn't stop playing with it. You can get "female" engines if you think more appropriate. When we gave our son his first set, at about 18 months, he literally stood and played with it for a few hours straight until he fell asleep.

Play doh is great.

My daughter is 2 years 9 months and she loves playmobil. She will make up little stories and put them all in a car and drive them around etc. It occupies her for hours!

My 2 year old loves her babies and making little beds for them, packing a bag for their holiday and telling them off when they’ve been naughty!

Brio/thomas wooden trains and track, Grimms 12 piece rainbow, semicircles, and building boards, Grimms 36 cubes, wooden animals, schleich dinosaurs, Ikea wooden kitchen and Melissa and Doug wooden food and metal saucepans. But mostly trains.

Mine likes a tray of sand or uncooked rice with lots of things to scoop and pour it. Also dolls to put to bed and change nappies and anything to empty, sort and repack!

Mine both went through a major jigsaw phase around this age (sadly short lived but I milked it in the meantime)

Magnadoodle or Aquadoodle

Magnetic blocks like Magnatiles (maybe that was later?)

Any kind of bag and things to put in it - play food, play jewellery, small animals, anything small really.

(bit specific!) Melissa and Doug ice cream shop - was a massive hit with both DDs and every child that saw it.

My dd is in to dinosaur figures, tea set with cakes and tea pot etc, play-doh, her kinetic sand, rubber stamping kit, colouring/painting stuff, bags/shoes and hats and her minikiss doll.

Thanks so much for the fab ideas!! We have a brio train set from big brother but it’s one of those toys that has always been there so never gets played with..perhaps a few new accessories would spark interest!! Aquadoodle and magnetic dress up also fab ideas we never had for eldest!! Thanks everyone!!
