Balance bike recommendations

I have a small soon to be 3 year old and looking for balance bike recommendations. Have looked in Halfords and he measures the size for 10 inch but they look too small. So tempted to go for 12 inch but worried he will struggle with it. I don’t want to spend a fortune. £65 maximum but would like something lightweight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Definitely a Strider.

Just the classic one would be fine- you can get them on amazon.

Just been looking at one of those. Confused as says 18months-3 yrs? Plus it looked like it was heavy but have read they are good. Will take another look. Thanks

We got my son a 12" one which the seat was adjustable. He got it for his 3rd birthday and loved it. Just before his 4th birthday he started using a pedal bike without stabilizers straight away. It was amazing but I would spend too much . We got this one. Light weight, decent price and taught him how to balance!

They are not heavy at all. Very very light.
My eldest used it till he was 4 and my son is 3.5 and doing well on it now.

We just bought this one for our 2 year old - he absolutely loves it and is already riding pretty confidently.

We bought the lightest one we could find at a reasonable price, as our older children were bought a heavy wooden one that looked lovely but they could barely lift it so didn't use it.

DD is 2.5 and 97cm and it really works for her

Thanks. Had Looked at this one so great to hear from someone that has tried it. Love the fact it is so light as all Halfords ones felt heavy.

Get a Strider, you won't regret it.

Thanks managed to pick up a second hand strider sport. Have two questions though. Should handle bars spin all the way round and if so why? Also should there have been a special key to do the seat and handle bars? Thanks

Yes they are meant to spin all the way around. Strider say steering limiters inhibit the ability to learn to steer a normal bike. It’s never been a problem for us.

Yes you need an Allen key to move the seat.
