Best toy / game your 6 yr old owns

Looking for inspiration for 6yr olds birthday. She’s into Lego and reading but can’t think of much else. Likes everything not especially ‘girly’ not really into dolls etc but does like make believe, dress up and craft.

We would like to get her something other than Lego she can play with alone in her room (mainly as DD2 ‘spoils’ a lot of her games currently!) any ideas?!

My DD loved these Gears Gears Gears sets. The pieces are interchangeable so once you have a few sets you can put them all together to make some monstrous creations!

There's a sweet shop one as well that we had.
She also really liked Hama bead. Aquabeadz are a test similar alternative. She has since gone on to the 3D versions such as Quixels.
Zoobs were great. We had a sparkly set.

Magna tiles. They are really expensive, but great for building structures. Mine love them.

Mine loves loves loves spirographs.
Does she like jigsaws? Mine has a jigsaw of our local area which has names on - he loves it and it has really helped with his reading, so much enthusiasm. He got it for Christmas and has made it 4 times since! Quite a record.

Weirdly he has asked to play Monopoly for the last 10 days...

DD and D'S both like the Geomagnetic sets you can get. You can add them together as you get more to build bigger. Great learning about magnets to.

Another option could be macarno junior, we also have a couple of sets. Easier to build then the full grown up version but just as fun, DD used to make her own unusual creations out of it as well as the models in the kit.

For playing alone, my DC loves jigsaws, playmobil, geomag, sticky backed gems and sticky foam cut outs for making pictures, tracing paper (this was a huge and unexpected hit, she has traced loads of illustrations from books, and made stained glass windows.) She is also obsessed with a toy I found in a charity shop where you use a magnet to move different coloured beads under a clear screen to make mosaics (sorry that is a bit of a rubbish explanation!)

THabk you some great ideas here! I especially like the tracing paper option, I think stragely she would also love that! She’s also saying she doesn’t know how to draw XYZ.
