AIBU to think this is a crazy product?

I spent the night surfing the internet -I thought those sleepless nights didn’t occur until the end of the third trimester - and I came across [[www.peddler.com/product/ding-dong-indoor-wooden-swing-kaaita?utm_source=mumsnet&utm_campaign=uk1
this indoor swing]] and I thought, who has space for that?! Have I gotten so used to tiny apartments in the city or is this really a crazy product? I wouldn’t complain if I could fit an indoor swing in my house though LOL.

It made me wonder, can you fit an indoor swing in your house?

I could fit that in my house easily, but I live in the country. And the kitchen in the pictures isn’t that big is it?

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 11/08/2017 06:40

Yes I could fit that in but I wouldn't be able to swing very high. Also I would worry my house would collapse with my weight swinging up and down Blush the pictures are a bit silly!

LastOneDancing · 11/08/2017 06:44

I have room.
But if I'm going to swing, I want to swing really high and I want to do a big mid-air jump off at the end.

This product is not for me.

vlogger · 11/08/2017 07:13

Oh crap, now I need an indoor swing 😄

Madonna9 · 11/08/2017 08:56

That too OhtoblazeswithElvira Grin

I agree, this is a crazy product. Why would you want a swing in your house...

OlennasWimple · 11/08/2017 09:10

It's a Pamela Anderson style sex swing, surely?

Madonna9 · 11/08/2017 13:03

Hahaha, hadn't thought of that one OlennasWimple.
The swing doesn't look that strong though Wink

I have room for it but the house structure wouldn't support it! (1920s weatherboard/wood/plasterboard Aussie house)

Mycarsmellsoflavender · 11/08/2017 13:19

It's just a normal swing albeit a posh looking one, isn't it? Bit crazy as you'd need a large area free of furniture. I thought it was going to be one of those enclosed hanging pods, which I know are quite popular with parents of children with ASD (if they can fit them in) as a calm down space. We also have an outdoor lying down swing bought from a German company who sent us their catalogue which was full of indoor swings, mostly modelled by couples - my first thought was sex aid!

We had one in the 70's it clipped to a door frame

BenLui · 11/08/2017 13:26

We have room but I agree it's an odd thing to put in your house. Grin

I have a few friends with indoor hanging seat type things for their kids which are quite cool but need strong ceilings.

GlitteryFluff · 11/08/2017 13:32

Ooh I'd have the space for one that clips onto a door frame! I need to find one now Grin

BlossomCat · 11/08/2017 13:38

Mycarsmellsoflavender I'm liking the tagline for that website;
'Swinging. Turns every day into a holiday'
GrinGrin

There's no way that I could fit a swing in this house, but I live next to a park, so my swinging needs are catered for.
Just need to push the toddlers off them first.

Mycarsmellsoflavender · 11/08/2017 13:52

Blossomcat yes, definitely a sex swing without being advertised as such Grin

We have the multi child outdoor swing which you lie down on: haven't tried it out with DH in that way but the one and only time I went on it, I had to get off as I felt sick!

How I would’ve loved to have an indoor swing as a kid. Whenever the weather allowed it, I was on the swing. So no, I don’t agree with you. I have my birthday coming up, guess what I’m getting myself. Thanks for the tip.
