Christmas presents?!

Relatives are already asking what my 3 year old and 9 month old want for Christmas...I feel our house is already overflowing (a lot of hand me down toys from SIL's 3 kids) but can understand the desire to give something the kids can actually open on the day (my suggestion to commit to spending quality time with the kids instead, a trip to the park once a month or something like that, went down like a lead balloon). So....any suggestions?! I just really feel they don't need any more stuff!

books for both. board game suitable for 3 year old. board games are fantastic I think for teaching sharing and turn taking and how to be a goid sport. Other than that stuff you will use up like craft materials. maybe something for outside space if you have it - like a playhouse or junior slide between them.

I would ask for magnatiles as a joint gift (expensive but years of play value ahead, my 6yo still uses them daily, my almost 9yo and his friends also keep coming back to them).

Or duplo. If they don't already have any, then start with basic bricks with a base plate, otherwise add some fun sets (zoo or train or similar) to their collection. Years of play ahead there too,.

Also, both magnatiles and duplo are great for kids of different ages to play with together.
