What's the best basic kit you've seen? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Budget up to £50. Thanks in advance.

As a starter kit i really like the big blue boxes (about £20). Depending on age the creator kits are good value-usually a house or vehicle and there are 3 ways of using the lego to make different variations of the house or vehicle.
What are are you buying for?

Best basic kit is a big bag of mixed lego from ebay.

A basic box for a starter. And if you have a child who like to make vehicles then extra wheels! And some people.

Creator

box but think you can get bigger ones

Have a look at the creator kits. Lots of bricks, plus extra bits to make it interesting.

I got 2 sets last year from amazon, one was mixed bricks and one was Lego houses/city stuff. We have just topped it up with the odd set here and there.

5 yr old ds. I was just looking at eBay. Why do I feel so reluctant?? He doesn't care, the only difference is packaging, isn't it??
