Dolls. Help!

DD1 is 2 1/2 and wants a doll.
There is no way I'll be able to stop it going in the bath and she'll want to undress it, so can't be one of the soft bodied dolls with limbs sewn on or one that takes batteries.
She wants it to look like a baby and be proper baby sized. She might prefer a boy doll, but that's not really important.
I have no idea what I'm looking for/where to look. I keep finding soft bodied dolls or ones that do all sorts of unnecessary stuff - I don't want a doll that cries or poos!!!
What do your DC like?
Thanks.

Buy a doll from HOPE or NES Arnold (same company now, I think). It's where we get the dolls for school. They are anatomically correct.

Early moments do black/white boy/girl dolls that's don't do anything other than lie down and sit, amazon have them for about £7. They are nice dolls, DD got bought one when DS was born. He is now four and the doll is still going. The price reflects the fact that they come naked, but I just used some of the DCs old newborn baby clothes, which we found easier to put on the doll than proper dolls clothes.
