Hi, my DD turns 1 in a few weeks. My parents have asked for ideas what to get her (probably about £50). Bearing in mind we have just have xmas and she has all the toys a girl could need, I was wondering what a good pressie would be that would either last a long time, or may be something that she may not even be that interested in until the summer??
She has a walker and is already taken steps so that type of thing is not necessary, but wondered about something she could sit on and puch herself? Or a little table and chair?

Any ideas greatly appreciated! Don't want to suggest things that are then not used as much as I had thought.

Thank you!

My DS (now 2) got a wheely bug for his 1st birthday & still plays with it now. :-)

A ride on or tricycle they all love it might be a bit early now but will be definitely a hit in a few months. DD2 is 1 on friday and she already likes hers, but she walks since she is 9 months. (they need to be able to walk to do the legs coordination)
table and chair will be useful much later (a bit of a hazard now with climbing etc.)
A rocker? a tunnel? tunnel a ball pit? pit a sand box if you have some outside space?

All the small kids are driven to the play kitchen in the playgroups I go wether boys or girls from 1.5 yo till 3.

My dd got a little ELC dolls pushchair for a fiver for her first birthday that's still going strong one little brother and 5 years later :) I'd suggest that an then maybe a family membership to a nice play place or zoo or something so you can get lots of use from it throughout the year

I'd be tempted to ask for something for the garden (presuming you have one!) like sand pit or water tray, also ask for one with a lid because of the cats. One of those small slides, swing, seesaw. For me the ideal would be something that didn't further clutter up my living room Grin

When our little ones were that age we saved up all the money from birthday/Christmas and when they were old enough (2nd birthday) we bought a tp climbing frame for them. We did the same again to buy the trampoline.

Popular presents: toy kitchen, shopping trolley, buggy (the little ones are much easier to push than the bigger ones).

Bean bags are about £50 and a nice one should last for ages. My dd2 loves hers.

Anything she can sit on and push with her feet, eg a little tykes car or a tricycle.

wheely bug was our choice but it is still unused and looking like new 18 months later! no way i'd buy one again. table and chairs have been fantastic, as has mini trampoline with a handle. gets rid of excess energy on rainy days. even our 9 month old has started using the trampoline.
