Since ordering from them and being told my parcel shipped on the 2nd December...still haven't received it. I have talked to several other friends who have all had the same experience...
Their items just never came...and they had to go through many lengthy phonecalls to resolve it. Don't use them!

the reason why some companies are taking longer than others has to do with the volume of items they have to despatch. so - john lewis for instance won't be despatching the sheer number of items that amazon/play are, and therefore the john lewis items are more likely to arrive quicker due to the fact their volumes are turned around quicker.

i think for myself i am not going to worry about it,there are people trying to get flights to spend xmas with their families and that is far more of a worry for them.Nothing i can do anyway.i will simply give him an IOU !But of course if you have young children then its different.

And there are people struggling to find the money to pay for their heating bills. And that's just in this country.
"Big Deal" if some or even all of your presents arrive late. Is that really what Christmas is about, getting presents on time?

Think most people know all the moralistic stuff ragged.

As you say yourelf, it doesn't stop it from being maddening when items you have paid for (because the money leaves the account when it is dispatched) don't show up and you have no way of tracking them or knowing if they will show up.

How do you know that the people waiting for deliveries aren't people spending the last fof their eagerly save money to buy their children the one gift they might get this year?

I find the frustrating part is that the delivery from other places don't seem to be struggling to this extet.

I've used them for years and been receiving items regularly over the last couple of months within a week.

Ordered items middle of last week so hope they arrive before friday in time for xmas, can only blame the weather for the delay :( same with amazon

This year I think I've become quite jaded with Xmas anyway, to be honest. The whole gift giving frenzy is getting on my tits BAH HUMBUG.

I've been sending stuff via Royal Mail,some of it has taken ridiculous long time to arrive -- I've read the same thing from other Ebay sellers using RM.

(ps: why don't we have a special BAH HUMBUG emoticon, eh, eh??)

I will never use play again after we ordered a new TV from them and it took 6 weeks for them to decide it had "gone missing", they said they would give us a refund and it went through so we ordered another TV (from somewhere else) 3 days later they took the money back out. New TV comes (second order) and then 3 weeks later two TV's from play turn up. I spent almost £30 calling India to sort it all out and arrange collections and we didn't get the refund until 10 weeks after the original order. Absolute joke.

I don't think we can blame Play for the weather which is affecting deliveries. I'm still waiting for one which was dispatched a week ago. In the past they've always been good and when I didn't recieve something one year, they did resend it - no questions asked.

my parcel from play was delivered this morning ,they stuck it down by dh,s car so they must of come very early !
