I renounced my rights to act as executor for my mums will which is now null and void as a later one has been found.
Any knowledgeable legal people here who could kindly tell me if the form PA15 still stands for the new will? Probate office is telling me it does and I can’t act as the named executor now . Thanks 🤩

Yes it does still stand .. why do you now want to be an executor?

Did you intermeddle at all when your mum died - such as contacting her bank or other financial institutions or paying debts such as funeral expenses? If you did this before renouncing the PA15 could be invalid. I’m assume you’ve handed the completed form to another executor who has submitted it with the old Will for probate?

Renouncing generally isn't a good idea anyway is it?
Reserving your power might be better.

(Not a legal bod, but going through probate right now.)

Not meddled, I was unaware there was a later will . Tried to use AI but it’s giving me conflicting information. The original will is void and my husband the executor has stepped down . What a nightmare!!

@MyballsareSandy2015 because I am the named on my mum’s will . I originally gave it up for the first will as I have had family problems and didn’t want the stress and upset with members of my family .

Is your Dh the named executor on the more recent will? And he’s stood down on doing that? Sorry, bit confused. Just submitted probate for my family member for whom I’m executor.
