Why has this become ubiquitous now? You rarely saw this in the past, and if you ever did, they tried to hide behind a tree or something. Now, they seem to pull up wherever the fuck they like and just piss a great arc of urine for everyone to see, driving past. It's absolutely disgusting.

Well I take it you mean men. Or maybe you mean man. Or maybe you mean mean men or mean man. Or wow, mean attempt at pissing!
Anyway you're not wrong. And you're not mean, either.

Societal shift. Social media has made everyone's lives more public and it had manifested into physical aspects now too, not just online.

Tbf men have been pissing wherever they want for centuries this isn’t a new phenomenon

I went out yesterday early eve and there was a lorry stopped in the middle of our (single track) road with its hazards on, and the driver standing beside it pissing. I'd never seen that before - no attempt to even pull over into a field gate or layby!

It has always been this way OP…I’m 62, and men have always pissed wherever the fuck they want. They are vile, disgusting creatures, with no respect. That’s why they do it.

It's easy to do, doesn't cause any harm, and is sometimes necessary - even urgent. Done as discreetly as possible and it seems ok to me.

But that's the OP's point - it's not being done discreetly anymore.

I agree OP, of course it's always happened, but normally the man would be hiding behind a bush/tree/his own vehicle and you wouldn't actually see anything.

In the last year I've seen at least 4 men standing then brazenly with the arc of piss streaming out - normally peeing on to their number plate for some bizarre reason. It's vile! If you've got to go, you've got to go, fair enough, but no-one needs to see it.

I wonder if the pressures delivery drivers are under nowadays might be contributing.

If men were shyer about everyone seeing their peens cyberflashing would not have had to be made illegal.

I did a 10km and within 1 km there were tens and tens of men pissing on the grass verge. Women have to hold it, so should they. Completely disgusting.

I’ve seen this more regularly up in the north west highlands - last year being “welcomed” by 2 pissing men upon entering a beautiful village wasnt the sort of entrance i imagined. Then 4 men got out of a car at a busy junction opposite a visitor attraction I ask you it truly was disgusting and unnecessary.

Exactly. It's always happened, but it was much more private. It's so brazen now. I've been driving for 36 years and it's only recently it's been in total full view, totally blatant, no hint of trying to be discreet. Absolutely gross in the extreme.

More delivery drivers and also fewer public toilets.

Bankrupt council = zero public toilets.

I hate it and even though I have seen it many times, I'm still shocked by it. I wish I was good at pea shooting or with a catapult.

I pulled in at Thurrock services last week (everyone in the car needed the loo, horrible place) and I went to open the boot and the smell of piss was really strong and I looked down and someone or a horse had pissed where I was standing. What a massive piece of sh** of a person not to go to the loo a few yards away. Nasty nasty nasty

It's always happened. It's not a new thing. Remember a football supporter bus stopping and about 40 men in a line pissing in the hedge as I was driving past years and years ago

I reckon women travelling in cars - especially on long journeys - are peeing outside just as much @iloveanearlynight they are just more discreet. They have to be as they have to get their bum out and squat! Men can just do it standing up.

Went away for a few days to the East coast in June, (west to east of the UK,) and there were ZERO public toilets for 140 miles. ZERO. (3 HOURS!) All A roads, and no motorways see. I mean, the towns we drove on the outskirts of may have had one in town - even in a pub - but we couldn't go off the route or we would have got lost as we didn't know our way.

65% of the way there, DH and I were desperate for a pee, and we pulled up in a layby, and just sneaked into the little clutch of trees at the side of it and had a pee there. What are we meant to do if there's no toilets?
