How much do you spend on your appearance on average?

I am starting to realise I spend hardly anything on my appearance, I use whatever shampoo I pick up from the supermarket, everyone uses the same bottle in the house, shower gel the same 1 bottle for everyone.
I do use a good face wash and cream, Korean skincare

Don't wear makeup. Don't go to the hairdressers (cut my own) home box dye sometimes only 1 or 2 gray hairs. don't get my nails done. Don't go to salons.

I spend a lot of my time either at home or in the middle of the countryside covered in mud, sand, dog hair, in all weathers.

Up to now I've got away with it, allways had naturally good skin. People think im younger then I am. however im 42 now and am thinking I mabey need to put a bit more effort in.

I am never going to be someone who spend hours on my appearance, but I'm willing to upgrade my products to maximise my small efforts. Any tips?

Fellow country dweller to can't be bothered with much! Typical 'you don't NEED to do anything' caveat, but... St tropez face spray gives you a subtle, healthy glow. Well done hair always makes people look put together, I think hair is very 'make or break' for how you look overall. Properly done eyebrows and a lash lift really boost looks without makeup. And being in decent shape is good for both looks and health!

I think people who do less in certain cases are better off, bare minimum of skincare to me generally results in people with healthier more natural looking skin. Of course things like eye cream, spf, primers and a bit of make up are good, but when people add things like acids, fillers etc it results in might not do what people think it does.

Healthy lifestyle counts way more than products although it is more effort

A good SPF

I use my kids' baby moisturiser. It's as good as anything I paid four times the price for in adulthood!
