30 days only

Going insane - I had a termination at 5 weeks pregnant and now I’m having what feels like kicking (I would be 18 weeks)

I know this might upset people talking about terminations etc but I had my reason. I was on the pill and already have 3 kids.

the past two days I’ve had patterns of what feels like kicks. I did a pregnancy test when I should after a termination and it came back negative. I’ve never tested again until the other day and I stupidly got pee on the part that shows the lines. I’m still on the same pill.

now I’ve had these weird kicks for two days and it’s I the morning and night. You can see my stomach move and feel them. It feels exactly how my three pregnancies felt

surely this isn’t possible? After a very negative test?

It could be gas causing phantom kicks.Or you’re about 2 months pregnant but then you wouldn’t feel kicks

Emilesgran · Yesterday 22:46

Could you have got pregnant immediately afterwards? If your pill failed you once, it could have failed again couldn't it?

Emilesgran · Yesterday 22:47

You need to do another pregnancy test, really. Or go to the GP to get an examination.

You need a test ASAP

Agatha1989 · Yesterday 23:00

Go and see a medical professional.

What do you think OP?
if you’re feeling movement (and seeing!) then you need an ultrasound ASAP

I had some phantom kicks / spasms which i could see and feel for a while after my pregnancies. Still worth testing again though.

TheSquareMile · Yesterday 23:04

Are there any supermarkets open till 12 in your area where you could buy another test?

selffellatingouroborosofhate · Yesterday 23:32

A 24 hour ASDA or Tesco will have tests on the shop floor, so you can still buy one if the pharmacy counter is closed.

The ASDA own-brand ones have a reputation for false positives.

It's possible that you have stomach cramps or trapped wind. I get visible bumps popping up on my stomach during IBS bouts.

DaringQuoter · Yesterday 23:40

Do another test.

Whatonearthwoman · Yesterday 23:55

I get what feels like a baby kicking but it is just wind.

I’m sure it’s not real kicks op just your mind playing tricks. I would take a test to put yourself at ease

Gingerkittykat · Today 02:19

Have you had periods since you had the termination?

Do you have any symptoms like sore breasts, sickness or what might be a bump developing?

Yes, I had them for a couple of years after having DD2, IIRC.

Well you need to do another test surely?

I had kicks after my miscarriage for months after but was just wind or my empty womb going back in place.

StolenTeapots · Today 03:11

How are you doing op?

Wecanbeheroes26 · Today 05:52

I think you need an ultrasound, just to be sure

ExplodingSmittens · Today 05:56

Have you managed to do another test yet @jsws?

Dandeloosha · Today 05:56

Could you have got pregnant soon after your termination? Either way you need a pregnancy test.
