2 week pathway - do they scan both breasts?

A silly question I am sure, but wondering if someone can help me. I was going to ask the team when they call, but it's been 3 weeks and still don't have an appointment. (Delays).

As the title says, will they mammogram both breasts? I have a lump in the left hence the referral, but both are always lumpy. For peace of mind I'd love both to be checked, but don't know how these things work. Thanks!

I have had many, many mammograms. They’ve always done the double!

Yes they will check both
Usually a mammogram first then an ultrasound
Mine are terribly lumpy
Ive been twice and it was a cyst both times
Ultrasound showed I have lots of them

Personally I only had the one with the suspicious lump in.
I had all tests and results done same day.

The result were given to me as that I had a small family of cysts !3!! All harmless and were to be left alone.
I went alone and took headphones amd caught up on some tv in-between appointments..

Yes they do both. I’ve had this done a few times and it’s always been a cyst. Sometimes they will ask if you want this aspirated at the time which I thought sounded scary, but it’s painless and takes seconds!

Hopefully I hear soon with an appointment. Still more waiting, but at least it will be in the diary.
I will go alone, take a book, but allow DH to take/fetch me. I hate hospital parking

Yes they do both, and will also ultra sound if they feel the need. Dh comes sometimes but he doesnt come in, they tell him to wait outside. ( in the waiting room)

All results and chats same day. You could give them a call, given the state of the postal service!

I had both mammogramed.
Then physical exam.
Then sent back to have suspect breast mammogramed again.
Then ultrasound, and biopsy.

I missed their call this morning as hanging the washing out. They've left a message to say they'll call back, but no idea when. This is so stressful. I can't get through to them either, literally no option.
